WWE Elimination Chamber 2019 Thoughts
Elimination Chamber was a pretty good show, with good matches (apart from the Strowman-Corbin match) bookended by two great Elimination Chamber matches. I thought the order of the matches was right, resulting in an even pace throughout the entire show. So let’s go!
My preview predictions: 5/6
- Mandy Rose and Sonya Deville probably had their worst outfits ever. My goodness.
- I’m used to Kevin Dunn, but the middle of the women’s tag team chamber match was getting so many rapid cuts to catch all the action I was actually getting motion sickness.
- With the Usos winning the SmackDown tag team titles I hope they will freshen up the tag team division —I’m getting fatigued watching various combinations between them, The New Day and The Bar.
- While I was happy that Finn Balor won the Intercontinental Championship, I thought the match was just TV-quality (and you know Lio Rush was in the match just to eat the pin), so it kinda took away the gloss of the victory.
- Poor Ruby Riott.
- The WWE Championship chamber match was good, until it was left with Kofi Kingston and Daniel Bryan, where the match was elevated to another level —it’s been a long time since I was really emotionally-invested a match. The two put on a great show, with believable near falls that put me on the edge of my seat, giving me some hope that Kofi may actually pulled it off to win the title. The crowd was hot throughout the match (I even saw some cried), and showed their appreciation at the end with chants of ‘Thank you Kofi’.
That’s all for now, thanks for reading!
