WWE Weekly Thoughts 14.3.19
Caught up the Fastlane PPV together with this week’s episodes as I was on a short getaway over the weekend. Let’s go!
WWE Fastlane 10.3.19
- I thought Fastlane was a solid, but unspectacular PPV that felt like a usual TV episode. My favourites were the Fatal 4-Way US Title match, WWE Championship match and Shield tag match.
- Seems like Kofimania has decreased the momentum of Mustafa Ali —the crowd didn’t pop as loud as I expected when he was shoehorned into the WWE Championship match.
- Speaking about Kofimania, the crowd was so brutal during the WWE Championship match, making Kofi chants in the early stages. Kudos to all three men who worked so hard to eventually get their attention onto their match.
WWE Raw 11.3.19
- The Intercontinental Championship changes hands again. Dammit. Side note, Bobby Lashley continues his hilarious facial expression.
- An intense exchange between Triple H and Batista to setup their WrestleMania match. However I wouldn’t want to use Batista’s mike after the amount of saliva he was spewing during his promo.
- It was sad to know Kurt Angle will be hanging up his boots, but it really was about time —he has been very limited in the ring, with his age and injuries. It will be interesting to see who will be the one to end his career with. John Cena?
- So my thought last week about a Reigns-Ambrose match at WrestleMania was way off, with all signs leading to a Reigns-McIntyre match instead. Ambrose has been jobbing ever since his contract situation was announced —I wonder will he even get a proper send off, with a match at Wrestlemania?
WWE Smackdown Live 12.3.19
- Kudos to Randy Orton for not breaking character when AJ Style did his iconic pose.
- At this point I’m already fatigued by the Ronda-Charlotte-Becky storyline, just get it over and done with at WrestleMania.
- Another great match between R-Truth, Samoa Joe, Andrade and Rey Mysterio, even though their combined age is over 150 years old haha.
That’s all for now, thanks for reading!
